FONICA INTERNATIONAL ISODYNAMIC TECHNOLOGY

Fonica’s Isodynamic speakers work on the principle of moving air by using a very thin, yet robust Mylar® foil. Due to its very low mass, this film is ultra-fast in its movement response. Since the diaphragm covers all frequencies from bass, midrange and treble, music playback is highly coherent. Therefore, distortion, time delay and colourations, all unavoidable factors in conventional loudspeakers that use cone drivers, are simply not there. This leaves a totally pristine window open to see right into the heart of your favourite recordings.

Only the finest and highest quality components are selected and used in their loudspeakers to ensure long-lasting and outstanding music reproduction. An isodynamic loudspeaker, also referred as a magnetostatic, does not require a transformer to operate, but does rely on a magnetic field of the highest order.

For a very strong magnetic field, Fonica International uses neodymium magnets that are specially encapsulated and protected. This type of magnet is much more expensive than the alternatives, but there is no realistic substitute when it comes down to a uniform magnetic field density coupled with high magnetic field strength.

The very resistant Mylar membrane has conductor tracks applied, these are then stretched and sandwiched between neodymium magnetic tracks and electric current flows vertically through these in a strong, permanent magnetic field with horizontally running field lines. These field lines vibrate moving air to reproduce sound in one whole uniform pattern.

The result is a speaker capable of phenomenal performance; effortless resolution, outstanding dynamic tension, insight, clarity and musicality all blended in one, sleek, elegant and beautiful package.
